Android Auto™ makes it easy to connect your Android smartphone with your Honda for music, navigation, and much more. It’s currently available on the following Honda models:
Like Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ is easy to set up in your Honda. You also have the added advantage of doing away with USB cables thanks to Android Auto™ Wireless (more on that below). Just follow these simple steps and you’ll be hitting the Daly City roads with next-level infotainment in no time!
If you’re wondering how to use Android Auto™ without USB cables, we’ve got everything you need to know right here. Android Auto™ Wireless lets you connect your Android smartphone once via USB cable, and then automatically connects wirelessly to your phone after that.
Android Auto™ Wireless has some more stringent requirements than the standard Android Auto. In order for Android Auto Wireless™ to work, your Honda needs to have a working WiFi connection through its car radio. You also have to have a Google Pixel running Android 8.0 or later, or a Samsung S8/Note 8 or later running at least Android 9.0.
If your car and smartphone meet these requirements, setting up Android Auto™ Wireless is easy. Just set everything up with a USB cable using the steps above, and the next time you get into your car, your smartphone will connect to Android Auto™ without needing a cable!
If you have any further questions about how to set up Apple CarPlay®, how to use Android Auto™ Wireless, or anything else, feel free to contact our office anytime! If you’re shopping for an Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™-enabled Honda, come by our dealership to set up a test drive around Colma.
